Crayke has a rich and varied history, from very early periods (Iron Age, Roman times etc) through to the most recent decades.
At various times Crayke villagers have formed local history groups, which have usually worked on specific projects, as well as continuing to trace and keep historical records.
Our current History Group is in the process of reforming and aims to build a record of what resources are available and where, on Crayke history, and wherever possible to collect digital copies of records, documents, photographs etc
