Vacancy for a Parish Clerk


An opportunity to be part of local democracy and support our small team of 7 Councillors.
Duties include
: attending all Council meetings plus occasional other meetings; drafting agendas and minutes; acting as point of contact for the Council; acting as finance officer for Council; operating our dedicated Parish Council website.
Skills required:
simple banking and book keeping procedures; use of Word, Excel and the internet; excellent inter-personal skills including organization of work and files, written and oral communication, diplomacy, confidentiality. Experience of Local Government is desirable but not essential. Training is available as appropriate.
The Rewards:
A Flexible Annual Hours contract, currently 150 hours per year, with a salary package based on Local Authority pay scales, depending on skills and experience, plus essential expenses.
